Guest Post by Freya (aged 9)

Hello my name is Freya and the bookaholic is really my Auntie Wendy. That's a picture of me with my face painted at the church fete in the summer. I want to write a book like my Auntie Wendy when I am older and I will become famous. I am looking forward to her book being published. I keep asking when her book is going to be published and she keeps saying soon. I wish she'd hurry up.

I like playing on my iPad. I like reading too. My favourite books is James an the Giant Peach by Roald Dahl. I also like Diary of a Wimpy Kid and a book called Tiger Thief. My daddy likes to read Batman comics. I like to go for long walks in the wood with my dog Jazz.

When I write my book it will be about Christmas and fairies. I love Christmas. I am also going to make my own blog in a minute when I can get onto the computer.

Thank you auntie Wendy for letting me post on your blog. I hope you will all follow mine when Auntie Wendy posts the link.

  1. I love your face paint Freya! I also love that you love to read. I also love to read, since a very young age. I am also an author. I write a thriller series about a girl archaeologist who teaches at a college in Boston, USA. In the first book (which will be released this August) she goes to Italy to SCUBA dive on a shipwreck from the 800s.
I hope you always love to read. Books and stories take us into a whole new world. Keep up the good work! And pet your dog Jazz for me.
I hope you do write a book about Christmas and fairies. I will read it, and I will follow your blog when you start writing one.

I love to read, too. My favorite book when I was your age was The Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe. Have you ever read it? Good luck with your blog!

  18. A great little blog Freya well done - when you write your book two pieces of advice - 1. Write it the way you like it, don't worry about anyone else, as long as you like it that's the main thing, if others like it then that's a bonus; and (2) enjoy your writing. Best wishes

  19. Great to meet you Freya, I bet your book will be more famous than Harry Potter. I can't wait to read your Auntie Wendy's book either because I write police novels as well. When I was your age I think my favourite book was Elidor by Alan Garner which is about some kids who get drawn into a mysterious dark world that they have to save.
